Payment details now on the printed receipt

Tip, card type and SumUp reference now appear directly on the printed POS receipt, so your customers can see what they paid with and how much tip they left. You decide in the app which rows get printed and pick one of three templates: clear, classic or minimal. A preview shows you right away how the receipt will look. If your shop prints in a language we do not ship, you can override every label yourself. Setting it up takes one step: paste a snippet into your receipt template once. After that every change takes effect immediately, without touching the template again. You will find it under Terminals, section "Payment details on the printed receipt".

Optimizing SumUp Payment Mapping via Metafields & Cart Notes

Successful SumUp payments will be stored directly on the corresponding Shopify order using Metafields and Cart Notes. This makes it easier to clearly match payments, orders, and potential refunds.

Split payments / partial amounts

Customer wants to pay part by card and the rest in cash or voucher? Done. The SumUp checkout modal now has a “Full amount" / “Partial amount" switch. For partial payments, simply enter the amount to be charged via the SumUp Solo reader — the remainder stays open and can be collected in Shopify POS with any other tender (cash, gift card, voucher …). Highlights: • Free-choice partial amount, validated live against the cart • Remaining balance clearly shown in the modal, with short instructions for Shopify POS • Works with any SumUp Solo setup — zero configuration • Currency- and tax-aware, no manual math Perfect for merchants handling tips separately, deposits, or mixed payment methods.

Deposits, partial payments, balance collection — flexible charging and refunds

A deposit today and the rest on pickup? Splitting a bill across several payments? PosBridge now covers the whole journey — from the first partial payment to the refund. Take a deposit or partial payment on your SumUp terminal as usual. Later, collect the remaining balance with a single tap right on the order: tap “Collect balance”, the customer pays on the terminal and the order is automatically marked as paid. The right terminal is already pre-selected. Stay on top of things with the new PosBridge overview in the order’s actions menu: all card payments with receipt code, fees and refund status at a glance. Refunds got smarter too: whether full or partial — for orders with multiple card payments, PosBridge automatically distributes the amount across the right payments.
