Receipt Variables (Liquid Reference)
Use POSBridge variables in the Shopify POS receipt code editor — with ready-to-use Liquid code examples.
POSBridge automatically writes data to the Shopify order after every payment — tip amount, SumUp transaction ID, payment type and more. With a few lines of Liquid code, this information appears directly on the printed or digital receipt.
Open the Receipt Code Editor
- Open Shopify POS on iPad or iPhone
- Tap the gear icon (Settings)
- Select Receipts
- Tap Code Editor
- Paste your Liquid code and tap Save
Changes apply immediately — the next receipt will already show the new data.
Available Variables (order.note_attributes)
| Variable | Contains | Example |
|---|---|---|
| — Always set (every payment) — | ||
posbridge_payment_id | Unique payment ID (useful for support requests) | pay_a1b2c3d4 |
posbridge_sumup_tx | SumUp transaction ID | T8F2...XA91 |
posbridge_charged_cents | Charged amount in cents (excl. tip) | 1800 |
posbridge_charged_mode | Payment mode: FULL or PARTIAL | FULL |
| — Only when tip was selected — | ||
posbridge_tip_amount | Tip amount (formatted) | 2.00 € |
posbridge_tip_subtotal | Cart value without tip (formatted) | 18.00 € |
posbridge_tip_total | Grand total incl. tip (formatted) | 20.00 € |
💡 The currency format of the formatted amounts (e.g. whether € appears before or after the number) can be changed under Settings → POS Extension → Currency format on receipt.
Important: posbridge_charged_cents returns the amount as an integer in cents — not euros. Example: 1800 = €18.00. For a formatted euro amount on the receipt use posbridge_tip_subtotal instead (e.g. 18.00 €).
