Set Up Multi-Location
Configure multiple Shopify locations with their own terminals and POS devices.
Location limits per plan: Starter → 1 location · Basic → 2 locations · Pro & Enterprise → unlimited.
Terminals are paired in POSBridge globally — just once without a location assignment. Afterwards you assign each terminal to a location. This way each iPad at each location can have its own terminal.
Check Shopify locations
Shopify Admin → Settings → Locations. All locations must be set up and active before you can use them in POSBridge.
Pair terminals
Pair all SumUp terminals in POSBridge (Terminals page → Pair new reader). Terminals are initially without a location — this is configured in the next step.
Assign terminals to locations
Select a terminal in the terminals list → Assign location → choose the desired Shopify location. Repeat for each terminal.
Assign POS devices (optional)
If multiple iPads are used at a location: terminal → Assign POS device → select iPad. This automatically pre-selects the correct terminal for the cashier on that iPad.
Can one terminal be used at multiple locations?
No. A terminal is always assigned to exactly one location. If you need the same terminal at a different location, change the location assignment.
What happens when I reach the location limit of my plan?
POSBridge blocks pairing or assigning further terminals to new locations. Upgrading to the next plan unlocks more locations.
